Special Abilities

Swift Reactions (Ex) Clockwork constructs generally react much more swiftly than other constructs. They gain Improved Initiative and Lightning Reflexes as bonus feats and gain a +2 dodge bonus to AC.

Advanced Targeting System (Ex) The Hi-Crux Alpha has a bonus to its telekinetic force claw attack rolls equal to 1/2th its HD and learns Precise Shot.

Capable Climber (Ex) This clockwork golem has 30 ft. Climb speed and 40 ft. base speed. It’s weapons are fully functional even while climbing.

Emergency Reel (Sp) Whenever a target tethered by the Hi-Crux Alpha’s Force Tethers takes damage, the Hi-Crux can respond by pulling it 5 feet closer as an immediate action. This still requires a successful drag attempt. If the target is unconscious, the Hi-Crux automatically stabilizes the target with a small electrical charge.

Whenever a creature falls, the Hi-Crux can immediately attempt to hit it with a Force Tether as an attack of opportunity.

Force Tether (Su) A Hi-Crux Alpha’s Force Tether attacks deal no damage but they tether the target to the Hi-Crux and allow the Hi-Crux to perform a drag maneuver against the target as a free action on a hit, moving it up to 5 feet on a success, or 10 feet when succeeding by 5 or more. The Hi-Crux Alpha can maintain up to 4 ropes of force at a time, each up to 60 feet long, but it requires no action to release a rope during its turn. Allies can move unhindered by the tether, though they break it by moving beyond 60 feet. Each rope on the same target also gives it a +2 circumstance bonus to drag attempts, stacking up to +6. When attempting to burst or escape these ropes, a creature may attempt against all ropes in the same action but rolling separately against escape DC 10+CMB or burst DC 10+Strength modifier. The force tether attacks have a 30-foot range with only two range increments and deal piercing damage. For supporting weight, 3 force ropes combine to carry as much as a 1-inch thick hemp rope.

Realignment Protocol (Ex) The Hi-Crux quickly corrects its positioning. It stands up or moves half its speed as a swift action.

Positive Energy Transfer (Su) The Hi-Crux is a valid target for positive energy healing, surch as cure wounds spells and positive energy channels. However, it cannot benefit form this healing, instead, the healing is transferred to a creature of its choice tethered to it (no action)
