Description

You cause an a stone large spike of stone to erupt from the ground. Creatures in the area are dealt 1d6 piercing or bludgeoning damage per caster level (max 5d6). One medium or smaller creature that fails its save is moved 10 feet in the direction of your choice. A large or larger creature fully covering the area takes 10 additional damage.

The spike occupies a corner 3 ft. wide at its base and 3 ft. high, preventing diagonal movement through its space. It has 5 AC, 8 hardness, and 10 hp per caster level. The spike crumbles to nothingness at the end of the spell’s duration.

At 9th level, you may spend a move action during the spell’s duration to launch the spike at a target within 50 ft. of both you and the spike. This is a ranged attack roll that deals 5d6 piercing or bludgeoning damage and destroys the spike. If the creature is medium or smaller, it is pushed 5 feet on a hit. You may use your caster level in place of your base attack bonus and your casting ability modifier in place of dexterity.

At caster level 5th, the spike counts as magic and silver. At caster level 10th, it also counts as cold iron. At caster level 15th, it also counts as adamantine.
